What the fuck does 5 have to do with clockwork orange?
Its obviously a detective in the classic pulp/noir style.
Oh, and in this world, the shiny thing is usually referred to as 'A Torch'.
And 6 is obviously the end of the story with him returning to the modern day.
I dont even read comics anymore, and I can understand what its about.
I wrote what I did before I read the series descriptions that I linked.
Knowing that he started as cave-Batman and worked his way forward in time,
I figured out that the last image was Batman returning to his normal
modern persona.
And the 'film noir' one isn't obvious to me even now, except for the 1930's era
setting, obvious only by the the Zeppelin. I could have as easily guessed
a "gangs of New York" Batman, by the hat. To me it's a pretty lame film-noir
outfit. I jokingly said Clockwork Orange, because of the hat, which at a
glance could be mistaken for a derby.
And what you describe as a "torch" in his hand is also ambiguous and poorly
done. It could just as easily be a glittering jewel, a flashlight, a small
lantern, or something supernatural giving a glow like Green Lantern's power
ring.
