One of TNA’s original Knockouts, Awesome Kong, has been released from her contract effective today.

Kong’s profile has been removed from TNA’s website, which is their unofficial way of confirming a wrestler’s departure from the company. They do not publicly comment on roster changes.

It was reported earlier this week that Kong was telling friends within the industry that the company had agreed to release her from her contract. This coincides with her Twitter post last week where she thanked Dixie Carter and TNA Wrestling for wishing her the best in her future endeavors.

Kong reportedly asked for a fifteen percent pay increase, which was not met. It is believed that she was making between $400 and $700 per show.

Kong is the fourth female performer to part ways with the company this year, following Alissa Flash, Roxxi and Traci Brooks.

According to sources, TNA has released Consequences Creed from his contract. Creed is now using his former name of Austin Creed on Twitter but has made no mention of being gone from TNA. He has been removed from TNA’s website however.

The Nasty Boys are no longer under contract with TNA Wrestling. The news was first reported by HonkyTonkMan.net.

Bischoff hinted at the possibility of their release when he asked a fan who didn’t care for the tag team when the last time the duo was on Television.

Honky Tonk Man reported that Knobbs was involved with some sort of an incident at a TNA gathering, and SpikeTV executives were not pleased with his behavior which ultimately lead to their release from TNA. While they’re release has been confirmed, the report via Honky Tonk Man has not been independently confirmed.

- As noted earlier, Consequences Creed was released from his contract. Shortly after the news broke of his release, Creed confirmed reports via his twitter page stating, “Thanks for the support! Yea it’s true no more TNA for me. So now it’s time to do work son! The only thing that can beat a Creed is a Drago!”

- TNA star Christopher Daniels returned to Ring of Honor last night in Charlotte, NC and challenged Davey Richards to a match. Word at the show was that Daniels has signed on with ROH for a number of dates including the next New York City and Virginia events. The deal is something that was put together just a few days ago.
Daniels cut a promo, saying he has been held back for seven years and now returned to ROH to prove he’s the best. No word yet on Daniels’ status with TNA but some people in TNA were surprised to see him return at the ROH show.

More TNA releases are expected to be announced soon, possibly this week, as the company plans on making some budget cuts.
