Primary voters are typically more conservative than the ones in a general election. The candidate, therefore, thinks the way to win the primary is to compare the conservative voters to "sheep" whom the conservative candidate will lead to their doom. I don't like ads of either party that imply something without coming right out and detailing exactly what the attacked candidate did wrong. As non-specific as this ad is, it's just a smear-job. If it hammered the facts, with something more than vague demonic innuendo, it would have been an effective and legitimate ad.

The problem is that almost nobody remembers that because of the demon sheep and name calling. "There's gonna come a time when she's gonna have to go"

It's just a dumb ad. And it makes you wonder how many dumb ones are made, that they stop at the exit gate and don't released because they'll get a reaction like this one did, and they have the good sense at the last minute not to release them.
