Who Died in the World Trade Center Attack / For All of Us Who Grieve
My heart breaks for all of those who perished and for their families.
With each news story about each individual that has been lost and
with each interview of a person grieving or looking for their loved-one,
holding up their picture and reaching out into the darkness, my
heart rips apart anew.
Pride
I designed this image to be downloaded by everyone and to be used
as a badge of honor. Print it out on paper or on glossy, photographic
stock. Use a small image with scotch tape to place on your shirt,
over your heart. Make a full-sized page image to display in your
car or anywhere you can think of. I hope this helps. It's helping
me to cope.
How I
Cope
By keeping my heart open and by talking to my friends and extended
family. Friends from home, from all over the USA and from Holland
and Scotland have called to support us with their love and care.
I am not sleeping well. I grieve for the children who have lost
a parent. I only pray that our leaders can remain strong enough
to guide us through the pain of this unbelievably heartless, horrible
attack.
We are
a nation of individuals who are proud of our diversity, who glory
and prosper in our differences. I have always loved being a part
of the wonder and magic that is America, my birthplace and my home.
I was born in New York City; raised in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
I'm one of those kids who grew up to discover that in this country,
in The United States of America, I could become anything, do anything
my heart desired...and I have. Where else can a kid from Brooklyn
become a United States Coast Guard Captain who owns a charterboat
business in the Caribbean? My Dad was blown away with pride...so
was my wife, Diane..so was my brother, Phil. We will never let them
take that away from us!
I support
our President and I support fighting and immobilizing all who would
threaten our way of life!

is outstanding! It has made my day, and I have emailed it to everyone
I love. I have felt the wound of this attack deeply, and I mourn with
those who lost loved ones. However, my love for this country has increased

We Trust
How is it that the world is lost to the enactment of hate and murder?
How is it that the world can not function in peace and gratitude?
I have grown to be a different woman since the morning of September
11th. I have grown to be a better wife, daughter, neighbor, co-worker,
friend, and Christian. It is but an utmost sobering lost as to the
remains of the tragic terrorist events that have unfolded upon our
precious nation.
Oh how
our children our afraid. Oh how our nations is in mourning. And
above all, my tears can not replace the lives that were sacrificed
to the deeds of those ungodly beasts. I cry for those that weep
for their loses, and yet thankful for being one of the untouched.
For I am the fortunate one who had no family lost, injured, or harmed.
I am the fortunate one who lives among freest nation. But I am also
fortunate in regards to the ability to feel the pain of this nation's
enormously heavy heart. Because I have a soul. I have a soul that
feels, loves, and mourns. For those that celebrate this evil have
no soul, no honor, and no sacred religion. They are the utmost demoniac
monsters who carry the work of Satan himself.
I find
it hard in my heart to accept. I feel ashamed to want these people
to die for their horrific sins. I am lonely in being afraid because
I am afraid to wake to a world of war. I find it hard to turn the
cheek. And I find it so much easier to hate.
So I
have come to the end of my expression, and put my faith in God to
feel, think and react for me now. For in my pain and weeping eyes,
I can no longer declare any expressive state. And therefore surrender
my heart and faith to God. For as it states in our Declaration of
Independence, "for the support of this Declaration, with a
firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually
pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."
And finally, we Americans bestow our trust in God. Bless you father
for you hold our hearts, our souls, and our fate. And I vow to each
and every American, I also will die for your freedom.
